Laurus is a small handmade atelier in Türkiye, where each piece is created slowly, carefully, and by hand.

I work with craft wicker and hand-prepared paper vine to create calm, thoughtful objects for everyday living.

What matters most to me is not quantity, but character, balance, and quiet beauty.

For many years, I worked with words — as a translator, with all the precision, obsession, and impossible standards that usually come with that profession.

At some point, life turned in a completely different direction. I began learning, making, undoing, redoing, doubting, improving — and eventually found myself building Laurus piece by piece, by hand.

I am, unfortunately or fortunately, a perfectionist. I notice details other people might happily ignore. This does not always make life easier, but it shapes the way I work: I care deeply about proportion, balance, texture, and the feeling a piece leaves behind.

Laurus grew out of that part of me — the part that wants things to feel thoughtful, calm, honest, and beautifully made.
